The Active X
What is the ALUXO Active X?
The Active X is a unisex baby bag backpack in soft-touch matte vegan leather. It carries as a backpack or by its top handle like a tote, clips onto your pram with built-in pram straps, and comes with a splash-proof changing mat. It's designed to look like a bag you'd choose anyway - not a nappy bag.
How big is the Active X, and how much does it weigh?
It measures 51cm high (including the top handles) x 28cm wide x 20cm deep and weighs 1.3kg - much lighter than a real leather bag. It holds roughly 21 litres.
What colours does it come in?
Olive Green, Black, Stone and Clay. Olive Green and Black have gunmetal hardware; Stone and Clay have silver hardware.
What's inside - how is it organised?
5 internal pockets, 3 insulated bottle holders in the front zip pocket to help keep bottles warm, 2 external side pockets (water bottle one side, wipes the other), a back access pocket so you can reach the bottom without unpacking, and a key leash. It opens wide and stands upright on its own, so it's easy to load and find things.
Is a changing mat included?
Yes. Every Active X comes with a splash-proof changing mat that folds up and slides into the internal pocket.
Can I attach it to my pram?
Yes. The built-in pram straps clip onto the handle of most prams so you can push hands-free. Hanging items from a pram is at your own risk - avoid over-filling the bag and make sure it's secured so the pram can't tip.
Will it fit a laptop?
Yes - most laptops fit in the internal slip pocket (where the changing mat usually goes), so it works well as a work bag too. The pocket itself isn't padded and there's no dedicated laptop compartment, so if you'd like extra protection we recommend popping your laptop in a slim laptop sleeve first.
Can I take it on a plane as cabin luggage?
Yes. At 51 x 28 x 20cm it fits within typical airline carry-on size limits, so it's an easy travel bag. As always, check your airline's own rules before you fly.
Is it only for mums?
No - the Active X is unisex by design, made for whoever's carrying it.
Is it waterproof?
The vegan leather is water resistant and wipes clean, but the bag isn't waterproof. Keep it away from excessive water and don't submerge it.
Care & cleaning
How do I clean my ALUXO bag?
Wipe it down with a soft damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a little mild unscented soap on a cloth or sponge, then wipe off with a damp cloth and dry with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents or household cleaners, and never put it in the washing machine.
Shipping, returns & warranty
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes - standard shipping within Australia is free and usually takes 2-6 business days from dispatch. Express post is $15 (usually 1-3 business days). We ship to New Zealand, the USA and the UK too, with costs calculated at checkout. Orders usually dispatch within 48 hours.
What is your returns policy?
If you change your mind, contact us at support@aluxobags.com within 14 days of receiving your bag. It must be brand new, unused, with tags attached and in its original packaging. Return postage is paid by the buyer, and original shipping isn't refunded. Sale items are final sale unless faulty.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every ALUXO bag has a 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults, such as broken zips or hardware. If you think there's a fault, email support@aluxobags.com with your order number and photos. We may ask you to send the bag back to inspect it, and if it's a manufacturing fault, we'll repair, replace or refund. Normal wear and tear and accidental damage aren't covered. Can I pay in instalments?
Yes - Afterpay is available at checkout.
